P.P. Kunhikrishnan is an Indian actor who has made a notable mark in the Malayalam film industry. He made his debut in the critically acclaimed film Nna Thaan Case Kodu (2022), where his portrayal of a magistrate earned him widespread praise. For this performance, he won the Kerala State Film Award for Best Character Actor.
Hailing from Thadiyan Kovval near Udinoor in the Kasaragod district, Kunhikrishnan previously worked as a Hindi teacher at Udinoor School. He is also actively involved in local governance as a member of the Padne Grama Panchayat.
Kunhikrishnan’s journey into cinema began with the film Nna Thaan Case Kodu, thanks to Unniraja, who introduced him to the industry. Later, Rajesh Madhavan, the casting director for the film, recognized his talent and selected him for the role.
Kunhikrishnan’s wife, Saraswati Thadiyan Kovval, is also a teacher at Kovval School. The couple has two sons: their eldest, Sarang, serves in the Merchant Navy, while their younger son, Azad, is pursuing his studies in Chennai.
