72nd National Film Awards 2026: Mammootty Receives Best Actor Award

Malayalam cinema’s beloved actor Mammootty received the National Award for Best Actor for the fourth time. He received the award from President Droupadi Murmu at the 72nd National Film Awards ceremony held at Ekta Nagar in Gujarat. Mammootty shared the Best Actor award with Kartik Aaryan for his performance in the film Chhaava Champion. Mammootty said that being recognized at the national level is an inspiration for any artist and that he feels extremely fortunate to have received his fourth National Award.
