When we get fed up with the same faces all the time on the silver   screen, usually we long for a fresh face to appear before us...Malayalam   movie industry recently had a major revamp, giving more chances to   newcomers and new faces. Usually they appear and then disappear. The   majority of them fails to mark their presence. But here is an actress,   who with her cute look and vibrant acting has already conquered the   heart and soul of the movie lovers. It is none other than Miya George,   the charming actress of mollywood...

Miya George originally Gimi George is based in Pala of Kottayam   district. Her parents are George and Mini and she has an elder sister   Gini, who is now settled in Saudi. Miya is not an actress, who had   simply started her career as a lead heroine. She began her career with   small and prominent roles, both in a small screen and big screen   industry. Her roles in Tele-serials, Alphonsamma and Kujali Marakkar   were well noticed. Slowly and steadily she has made herself prominent   among the actresses in the malayalam movie industry.

The year 2012 was a prominent period in Miya's life. She had tremendous   changes in her life after she got selected as Kerala Miss Fitness in  the  year 2012. After that, she began to appear in advertisements and   supporting roles. In the beginning of her film acting career, Miya did   roles in the movies by prominent directors like Rajasenan, K Biju etc. A   new supporting face in these movies were well noticed by the audience.   It was a coincidence that Miya, who did a less significant role in the   movie 'Doctor Love' in which Kunchacko Boban was the lead actor, later   paired with him in the movie 'Vishudhan', which got released in 2013.

'Ee Adutha Kalathu' , directed by Arun Kumar Aravind was actually a   movie which brought a break for all the actors and technicians, who were   part of this particular movie. Miya played the role of Shyleja, a   colleague of Ajay Kurien, a slightly hysteric character played by Murali   Gopi. Shyleja was always irritated by Ajay Kurien's behaviour. The way   she reacts back later was a quite interesting portion of 'Ee Adutha   Kalathu'.

Miya's debut film as a heroine was 'Ettekal Second', directed by   Kanakaraghavan. But it was the movie 'Chettayees', which got released   first (2012). 'Ettekaal Second' hit the theatre only in 2014. With   'Chettayees', directed by Shajoon Kariyal, 'Gimi' began to be known as   'Miya'. She paired with Biju Menon in this movie. The same year she   enacted in the movie 'Navagatharkku Swagatham'.

The gems in Miya's career, Red Wine, Memories and Vishudhan got released   in 2013. In the movie Red Wine directed by Salam Bappu, she played the   role Deepthi, the desperate wife of the character played by Asif Ali.   Deepthi will always remain in our heart. 'Vishudhan' directed by Vysakh   was one of the masterpieces of her career. Miya was not acting, but  was  living as sister Sophy in Vishudhan. The movie was one of the  brilliant  works of director Vysakh.

The same year malayalam movie industry saw Miya in another look. In the   ever time hit movie of 2013, 'Memories', Miya appeared as a journalist,   supporting the police officer Sam Alex (Prithviraj) in his   investigation. Her role was small but was very prominent. The movie was   directed by Jithu Joseph.

Miya has a handful of movies in the year 2014. Her first movie as a lead   actress got released in this year. The movie 'Ettekal Second' was   highly noticed with the presence of an underwater song. Govind   Padmasurya paired with Miya in this movie. Miya was also lucky enough to   work with prominent actors like Mohanlal, Suresh Gopi and Jayaram. She   paired with Jayaram in the movie 'Salam Kashmir'. In Mohanlal's highly   acclaimed movie 'Mr. Fraud', she played a very prominent role. Though,   she had worked with him in the movie 'Red Wine', the combination  scenes  between them were less. Her latest movie 'Hi I am Tony',  recently got  released in the theatre. Miya looked more beautiful in  this movie.

Along with her acting profession, Miya is also concentrating upon her   studies. Currently, she is doing her masters degree at Pala Saint Thomas   College. She is also trying her luck in Tollywood, as her debut Tamil    movie 'Amara Kaviyam' is getting ready for release. Her upcoming  movies  are 6B Paradise and Nayana.
