Unni Shivapal is a Malayalam film actor and producer. He hails from Payyannur in the Kannur district. He made his acting debut in the film industry with Samoooham, directed by Sathyan Anthikad. However, he gained attention for his villain role in For the People, directed by Jayaraj. He went on to act in several other films.
He was born to Kathakali maestro Shivapalan Master and Karthyayani. Due to his passion for cinema, he initially started a video library in Payyannur. Later, he joined the Southern Film Institute in Thiruvananthapuram. Along with his friends, director Ashok R. Nath, National Award-winning producer Anil Thomas, and Saji, he co-produced the telefilm Oru Manjukaalathinte Ormakku. Doordarshan later telecasted this telefilm. He made his mini-screen debut through the telefilm Oru Beepathuvinte Hajj, directed by Adam Ayoob.
Subsequently, he ventured into the touchscreen information business in Ernakulam. He also hosted the program Pepsi Top Ten on Asianet alongside actress Abhirami.
After Samoooham, he played small roles in films like Arabia and Bharatheeyam. After appearing in films such as Niram, Nagaravadhu, and Ammakkilikoodu, he landed the villain role in For the People. He then acted in Rain Rain Come Again, directed by Jayaraj, and later in Quotation, directed by Vinod Vijayan.
