Anil Murali, who have acted in over 200 Malayalam, Tamil and Telugu films, passed away today. He was 56. The actor was reportedly undergoing treatment for liver ailments in a private hospital in Kochi, where he died. His body is expected to be transported to his hometown in Thiruvananthapuram.

Anil Murali started his career in TV serials. He started his film career through the Vinayan film Kanyakumariyil Oru Kavitha. He had a prolific career playing antagonist roles and his last release was Forensic. His recent filmography includes Joseph, Ramaleela, Uyare and more.

He was born to Muraleedharan Nair and Sreekumari Amma. He was married to Suma, and they have two children.
