Shanavas, the son of legendary Malayalam actor Prem Nazir, passed away late Monday night at the age of 71. He died around 11:50 PM at a private hospital in Thiruvananthapuram, where he had been undergoing treatment for heart and kidney-related ailments over the past four years.

A resident of the Cordon Trinity 2B area in Vazhuthacaud, Shanavas was rushed to the hospital after his condition worsened on Monday night, but sadly, he could not be saved.

The funeral is scheduled to take place today, August 5, at the Palayam Muslim Jamaat Cemetery.
