Chalappurathu Raveendranatha Menon (1950 – 24 November 2007), popularly known as Ravi Menon was a veteran Indian film actor who worked in Malayalam Cinema.
Ravi Menon, who hailed from Sreekrishnapuram in the district, was suffering from cancer.
Ravi Menon, a diploma holder from the Pune Film Institute, started his film career by acting in the award winning film 'Nirmalayam' directed by eminent writer M T Vasudevan Nair.
Ravi Menon also got the state government special jury award for his role in 'Nirmalayam'.
'Shalini Enete Kootukari', 'Oyaragal', 'Radha Enna Penkutty' were some of the other 50 films Menon acted. Though he had acted in only few films, Menon had left a mark of his own in the minds of the Malayalam film-goers with his excellent acting.
Ravi Menon recently also acted in some tele-serials and films after a gap of many years.
Association of Malayalam Movie Artistes President and actor Innocent and several people from different walks of life paid tributes to Menon when his body was laid for public homage at his residence at Sreekrishnapuram.
