The Malayalam film Aadujeevitham (The Goat Life), directed by Blessy and starring Prithviraj Sukumaran in the lead role, has been selected for Oscar nomination voting. The film is an adaptation of the novel of the same name by Benyamin.

Other Indian films in the list of 207 eligible entries include Suriya's Kanguva, Payal Kapadia's All We Imagine as Light, Randeep Hooda's Swatantra Veer Savarkar, Santosh (a collaboration between India and the UK), and Band of Maharajas.

The Oscar nominations will be announced on January 17.
