In light of the allegations regarding drug use in the film industry, an emergency meeting of the ad-hoc committee was convened. The committee unanimously decided that such tendencies will not be encouraged in any manner, and that strong action will be taken if clear evidence is obtained.

Regarding the allegations raised by actress Miss Vinci Aloysius concerning drug use in the film industry, the committee held discussions with Vinci, commended her stance, and expressed full support for her.

The AmmA ad-hoc committee also stated that if a formal complaint is received with the name of the accused, and if the accused is a member of AmmA, appropriate action will be taken without fail.

The committee appealed to all members that AmmA must stand united against such tendencies that hinder the transparent functioning of the film industry.

AmmA assures that it will take proactive steps in all possible ways to eliminate such practices from the film sector and will extend full support and partnership in all initiatives taken by other organizations addressing this issue.
