AmmA has decided to conduct its organisational elections within the next three months. This decision was taken during the general body meeting, which directed the ad hoc committee to complete all necessary preparations for the polls.

The move comes in the wake of actor Mohanlal reportedly declining to take up the post of president during the meeting held on Sunday.

Out of AMMA’s 500 members, 320 were present at the meeting. Notably, veteran actor Jagathy Sreekumar, who had withdrawn from acting following a serious motor accident, also attended. It was his first appearance at an AMMA meeting in 13 years.
