After years, Mohanlal is set to appear in a police role once again. The new film titled L365, starring Mohanlal and produced by Ashiq Usman, will begin production this year. L365 is the latest project from Ashiq Usman Productions with Mohanlal in the lead role. The film will be directed by Dan Ouseppachan Thomas, who was previously known for acting in films like Thallumaala and Vijay Superum Pournamiyum, and also served as the chief associate director of the film Anjaam Pathiraa.

Mohanlal last appeared in a police role in the 2022 film 12th Man. Though not in a full khaki uniform, he portrayed the role of a DySP (Deputy Superintendent of Police). Mohanlal has played several police roles over the years, but the iconic character of Baba Kalyani remains etched in the audience's memory. Veteran actress Kaviyoor Ponnamma, who has often played the role of Mohanlal’s mother, will also appear in a crucial role in this film.

The story, screenplay, and dialogues are penned by Ratheesh Ravi. L365 marks the first collaboration between Ashiq Usman Productions and Mohanlal, adding to the uniqueness of the film. L365 is being prepared as a big-budget venture behind the scenes.
