Malayali talent shines at the 71st National Film Awards.

Ullozhukku, directed by Christo Tomy, was chosen as the Best Malayalam Film. Urvashi won the Best Supporting Actress award for her performance in Ullozhukku, while Vijayaraghavan was selected as the Best Supporting Actor for his role in the film Pookkaalam.

This is Urvashi’s second National Award — her first was in 2005 for her performance in Achu's Amma. For Vijayaraghavan, this is his first National Award. He had earlier won the Kerala State Film Award for Second Best Actor for the same role.
