The release date of Kanta, starring Dulquer Salmaan in the lead role, has been announced. The film will be released worldwide on November 14. Written and directed by Selvamani Selvaraj, the movie is jointly produced by Wayfarer Films, owned by Dulquer Salmaan, and Spirit Media, owned by Rana Daggubati.

The producers of the film are Dulquer Salmaan, Jom Varghese, Rana Daggubati, and Prashanth Potluri. Tamil filmmaker Selvamani Selvaraj, who gained attention for the Netflix documentary series The Hunt for Veerappan, is helming this project. The film narrates a powerful story centered around a major conflict between two prominent artists, exploring themes of love, ego, art, and emotion.

The first look and teaser of the film have already been released earlier. Set against the backdrop of 1950s Madras, Kanta marks the first non-Malayalam production from Wayfarer Films, which has previously produced several acclaimed Malayalam movies. Originally made in Tamil, the film will also be released in Malayalam, Telugu, and Hindi.

Kanta is Dulquer Salmaan’s next big release following the blockbuster Telugu film Lucky Bhaskar.
