Kerala State Film Awards 2025: Mammootty Sets Record with 7th Best Actor Win, ‘Manjummel Boys’ Dominates

The 55th Kerala State Film Awards were announced at a ceremony held at Ramanilayam, Thrissur, by Minister for Culture and Films, Saji Cherian. The winners were selected by a seven-member jury chaired by actor Prakash Raj. Mammootty and Shamla Hamza bagged the top acting honours, while the film Manjummel Boys emerged as the Best Film of the year.

Mammootty made history with his seventh Best Actor award, breaking the previous tie with Mohanlal and Urvashi, who each have six wins. His previous accolades include performances in films like Adiyozhukkukal, Mrigaya, Vidheyan, Kaazhcha, Nanpakal Nerathu Mayakkam, and more.
