After Kalankaval, Vinayakan returns to the big screen in a powerful lead role with Perunnal, directed by Tom Emmatty. The character poster featuring Vinayakan has been officially unveiled, generating strong buzz around the project. The film carries the intriguing tagline “Crow Men and Scrappers.”

Perunnal is produced by Manoj Kumar KP, Jolly Lonappan, and Tom Emmatty under the banners of Sooryabharathi Creations, Jollywood Movies, and Emmatty Company. The film boasts a strong ensemble cast including Shine Tom Chacko, Vishnu Govind, Sagar Surya, Junaiz, and Moksha in pivotal roles alongside Vinayakan.

The first schedule of shooting was completed in and around Vagamon, and the film is currently progressing through its final phase of shooting on studio sets. Perunnal is scheduled for a theatrical release in 2026.

Directed by Tom Emmatty, Perunnal marks his next venture after Mexico Aparatha starring Tovino Thomas and Gambler starring Anson Paul.

The technical crew includes executive producer P. R. Somdev, music composer Manikandan Ayyappa, cinematographer Arun Chalil, and editor Rohith V. S. Wariyath. The story idea is by Fr. Wilson Tharayil, with creative direction by Siddhil Subramanyan. Vinod Mangalath serves as the production controller, while Vinod Ravindran handles art direction. Lyrics are penned by Vinayak Sasikumar, with Dinil A. Babu as chief associate director. Arun Manohar is the costume designer, Ronex Xavier leads makeup, Ramdas Mathur handles still photography, Yellow Tooth designs the publicity materials, and Pratheesh Shekhar is the PRO and marketing consultant.
