The glimpse video of Aashakal Aayiram, starring Jayaram and Kalidas Jayaram in the lead roles, has been released. The film is produced by Gokulam Gopalan and Krishnamurthy under the banner of Sree Gokulam Movies. Aashakal Aayiram is directed by G. Prajith, who became familiar to Malayalam cinema audiences through Oru Vadakkan Selfie. Jude Anthany Joseph serves as the creative director of the film. The screenplay is written jointly by Aravind Rajendran and Jude Anthany Joseph. The film is scheduled to hit theatres on February 6.

Along with Jayaram and Kalidas, the film features Asha Sharath, Sharafudheen, Ishani Krishna, Anand Manmadhan, Akhil N. R. D., Ramesh Pisharody, Dileep Menon, Sins Shan, Rajesh Azhikode, Vaishakh Vijayan, Abhinand Akkode, Mukundan, Anand Padmanabhan, Ranjith Balachandran, Sudheer Paravoor, Niharika, Bhagya, Kunchan, Shaju Sreedhar, Rafi, Suresh Kumar, and several other young talents in important roles.
