Proud moment from AmmA Kudumba Sangamam 2026

AmmA organized a grand event to honor legendary actors Mohanlal and Mammootty for their remarkable achievements and contributions to Indian cinema. Mohanlal was honored for receiving the prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Award, India’s highest award in cinema, while Mammootty was recognized for being awarded the Padma Bhushan, the country’s third-highest civilian honor.

The function was formally inaugurated by Union Minister and actor Suresh Gopi, who praised both actors for their decades of dedication and excellence in the film industry. The meeting was conducted under the leadership of AmmA President Swetha Menon, and General Secretary Kukku Parameswaran delivered an inspiring speech highlighting the importance of their achievements and their influence on future generations.

During the event, senior actor T. G. Ravi was also honored with honorary membership in AmmA in recognition of his valuable contributions to Malayalam cinema. Many prominent actors, artists, and members of the film fraternity attended the function and expressed their admiration and respect for the honored legends.

The event also featured a vibrant cultural program, including the energetic Thalamelam performance, which added a festive spirit to the occasion. The program was coordinated by popular actor and director Nadirshah, and renowned musician Stephen Devassy presented a spectacular musical show that entertained the audience.
