Vismaya Mohanlal's Debut Set Against a Rural Backdrop? 'Thudakkam' Offers a Fresh Hint

Two young girls are seen joyfully running with a dog across a lush green hilltop. The image evokes the charm of a picturesque hill village. On closer look, one of the girls is revealed to be Vismaya Mohanlal. This is the latest poster from 'Thudakkam', directed by Jude Anthany Joseph and produced by Antony Perumbavoor under the banner of Aashirvad Cinemas. The new update suggests that the characters belong to an ordinary family living in a rural setting.

Director Jude Anthany Joseph had earlier stated during the film's launch that Thudakkam is "simply a family film." Every promotional update released so far has remained consistent with that statement. While the makers continue to present it as a simple family drama, audiences are eagerly waiting to discover the deeper layers and surprises the film may be hiding until its theatrical release.

The film has already generated significant buzz as it marks the acting debut of Vismaya Mohanlal in the lead role. Director Jude Anthany Joseph is also introducing another newcomer, Ashish Jo Antony, through the film. Ashish previously caught the audience's attention with a brief but impactful appearance in Empuraan, and now takes on an important role in Thudakkam.

Thudakkam is Jude Anthany Joseph's first directorial venture since the blockbuster 2018. The film also features an ensemble cast including Sai Kumar, Bobby Kurian, and Ganesh Kumar.

The executive producers are Dr. Emil Antony and Dr. Aneesha Antony, while the screenplay has been written by Lineesh Nellickal, Akhil Krishna, and Jude Anthany Joseph.
