Actor and filmmaker Rajeev Rangan has embarked on a new venture in Malayalam cinema with the launch of his production banner, Rajeev Rangan Productions. His first production, made in association with Mary Matha Productions, has been titled ‘Nool’.

Rajeev Rangan has written and directed the film himself. The title launch, pooja and switch-on ceremonies were held at the AMMA Association Hall in Kochi, with director Sibi Malayil lighting the ceremonial lamp to mark the beginning of the project.

Sibi Malayil, who is also Rajeev Rangan’s mentor, unveiled the title poster of Nool. Actor and filmmaker Sohan Seenulal and cinematographer Krish Kaimall jointly performed the switch-on ceremony, while senior actresses Omana Ouseph, Deepika, Bindu Varappuzha and Gomathi Mahadevan were present. Actress Shanthakumari gave the ceremonial first clap.

Prominent personalities including Raja Sahib, Latha Das, Rani Sharan, Ambili S. Rangan, Viju Bal, Charlie, Shafeeq Rahman, Ashiq, Venu B. Nair, Anju Ashraf, Jyothi Sivaraman, Anila C. Thomas, Rajaji, Rajesh Jana, Prashanth Murali, Ashok Sadan and Spadikam artist Javan Chacko, among others, attended the event.
