Samvrutha Sunil is making her comeback to the big screen with a new film jointly produced by Navarasa Films and Stone Bench Studios, following their film Prakambanam. Samvrutha was last seen in the film Sathyam Paranjaal Viswasikkuvo. Sreejith K.S. and Karthikeyan S. are the producers.
Dhilor, Rijos, Monsy and Blessy are the co-producers, while Abhijith Suresh is the executive producer.
The film began with a simple pooja ceremony at Panniyarkutty in Idukki district on Monday, September 7. Director Shaheed Arafath, producers Sreejith K.S. and Karthikeyan S., Dileesh Pothan, Alphonse Puthren, Samvrutha Sunil and other members of the crew jointly lit the ceremonial lamp.
Dileesh Pothan performed the switch-on ceremony, while Alphonse Puthren gave the first clap. The film has not yet been given a title. It is currently being referred to by the tentative name Navarasa Production 3.
After the critically acclaimed film Thangam, which featured Biju Menon and Vineeth Sreenivasan in the lead roles, Shaheed Arafath is directing this film.
Aji Peter Thankam, who penned the screenplays for the successful films Kettiyolaanu Ente Malakha and Adios Amigos, has written the screenplay for this film as well.
Set against the backdrop of the hilly region of Idukki, the film's cinematography is handled by Sunil K.S. Following Blessy's Aadujeevitham, this film marks Sunil's return to Malayalam cinema as a cinematographer.
