The pooja ceremony and switch-on ceremony of ‘Karate Chandran’, a big-budget film starring Fahadh Faasil in the lead role and directed by Roy, were held in Kottayam. The film is jointly produced by Dileesh Pothan, Fahadh Faasil, and Syam Pushkaran under the banner of Bhavana Studios.

The film also marks the directorial debut of Roy, who has worked as Dileesh Pothan’s co-director since Maheshinte Prathikaaram.

The story, screenplay, and dialogues for the film are written jointly by S. Hareesh and Vinoy Thomas, who have earned recognition through films such as Lijo Jose Pellissery’s Jallikattu and Churuli. The film features a large ensemble cast alongside Fahadh Faasil.

Vijayaraghavan, Johnny Antony, Sudheesh, Renji Panicker, Gokul Suresh, Suresh Krishna, Spadikam George, Manohari Joy, Jaya Kurup, and Manjushree Nair will appear in prominent roles.

As Karate Chandran is the latest project from Bhavana Studios, which has delivered several major successes in Malayalam cinema, the film has already generated considerable anticipation among movie lovers. The shooting has been scheduled for 140 days and will take place in Kottayam and surrounding areas.
