Mohanlal has been elected as the President of the Association of Malayalam Movie Artists (AMMA) for the third consecutive term, without opposition.

Unni Mukundan was the only candidate for the position of Treasurer. The remaining office bearers and executive committee members will be elected at AMMA's annual general body meeting on June 30.

For the Vice President positions, the candidates are Jagadish, Jayan Chetlal, and Manju Pillai. For the General Secretary position, Kuku Parameswaran, Siddique, and Unni Shivapalan are competing. Anoop Chandran and Babu Raj have filed their nominations for the Joint Secretary position.

According to the organization's bylaws, there must be at least four women in the 17-member governing committee. Therefore, the structure of the executive committee will depend on the number of women elected to the officer positions.
