Actress Jomol has been elected as a new female executive committee member

Actress Jomol has been elected as a new female executive committee member of the Association of Malayalam Movie Artists (AMMA). The first meeting of AMMA after electing the new office bearers was held in Kochi. The organization requires four female members on its governing committee. This time, a total of five women contested for the vacant positions, with two of them not succeeding. The majority of those attending the general body meeting were hopeful that the three women contesting for the executive committee would be elected after two female candidates lost. However, their hopes were not realized when the names of the candidates with the most votes were announced by the electoral officer, advocate K. Manoj Chandran. Among those who received the most votes were actress Ananya and seven other actors. The remaining three candidates were requested to co-opt members to fill the vacancies.

The first meeting of the executive committee decided that AMMA would plan a show in August. Additionally, they are beginning the activation of social media channels like Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube.
