Biography

Anjali Nair is an Indian actress who primarily works in the Malayalam film industry. Born on 16 July 1988 in Kochi, Kerala. She began her career as a child artist and later became a model, television presenter, and film actress.

Early Life and Career

Anjali Nair entered the film industry as a child artist in the Malayalam film Manathe Vellitheru (1994). She also appeared in films such as Mangalyasoothram and Laalanam during her childhood. Before returning to cinema as an adult, she worked as a model, television presenter, and appeared in advertisements and music videos.

She made her adult film debut with the Tamil film Nellu in 2010. The same year, she appeared in other Tamil films, and later entered mainstream Malayalam cinema with Seniors (2011). She subsequently established herself as a familiar face in Malayalam cinema.

Film Career

Over the years, Anjali Nair has appeared in numerous Malayalam films, including 5 Sundarikal, ABCD, Aadu, Ben, Adi Kapyare Kootamani, Kali, Kammattipaadam, Annmariya Kalippilaanu, Oppam, Pulimurugan, Take Off, Sakhavu, Rakshadhikari Baiju Oppu, Aami, Kammara Sambhavam and Drishyam 2.

She has also worked in Tamil cinema, appearing in the critically acclaimed film Chithha.

Awards

Anjali Nair received the Kerala State Film Award for Best Character Actress for her performance in the film Ben (2015). The recognition was an important milestone in her acting career. Also, she won the Filmfare Award for her performance in the movie Chithha.

Personal Life

Anjali Nair  married Ajith Raju. She is a mother of two daughters.
