Sangita started her career in early 1980's. But people began to notice her with the movie 'Aniyan Bhava Chettan Bhava'. But her real break was the movie 'Chinthavishtayaya Shyamala'. Sje got Kerala State Award for Best Actress for her performance in this movie. Recently, she had a comeback to the industry with the movie 'Nagaravaridhi Naduvil Njan'. Sangita is married to Saravanan and they have a daughter.
