Sonia started as a child artist. As a child artist, her performance was highly appreciated. For her roles in Nombarathi Poovu and My Dear Kuttichathan, she recieved State and National Awards respectively. One of her debut movie as a lead actress was 'Adheham Enna Edheham'. Sonia is married to Bose Venkat and they have a son and a daughter.
