Alang is produced by D. Shabareesh and S. A. Sanghamitra, following their collaboration on the film Selfie, which featured G. V. Prakash and Gautham Menon. The shooting of Alang took place over two months in dense forest areas of Idukki, Attappadi (Kerala), Theni, Kambam, and Anakkatti (Tamil Nadu).
